Pressure induced superconductivity in cesium

Abstract
Pressure induced variations in the electron-phonon coupling constant lambda of cesium are calculated from first principles. The authors find that lambda increases with pressure and predict that cesium should be superconducting with an observable transition temperature Tc at 36 kbar.Keywords
