Abstract
Experiments on the diffraction of neutrons and x rays by a piezoelectrically vibrating quartz crystal have shown the following phenomena: large increases of the diffracted intensity relative to the nonvibrating crystal, modulation of the diffracted beam and the appearance of forbidden reflections. Preliminary measurements and a qualitative explanation are reported. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
