Abstract
High resolution IUE spectra of α Eri, δ Cen and π Aqr are presented. A detailed analysis is made for π Aqr where strong asymmetries are present not only in the Si IV and C IV resonance lines but also in the lines of Fe III originated from low-lying metastable states. We have derived a mass-loss rate of $$2.4 \times 10^{-9} M_{\odot} \,\text{yr}^{-1}$$ for π Aqr and made a rough estimate for the rate of δ Cen, which is about $$9 \times 10^{-11} M_{\odot} \,\text{yr}^{-1}.$$
