Abstract
An equation giving the rate constants for electron exchanges between aromatic molecules in solution, in terms of the broadening and shifting of the magnetic resonance lines of any nucleus in the aromatic molecule, is derived. The equation is used to evaluate the rate constants for the p-benzoquinone-p-benzoquinone radical anion, and duroquinone-duroquinone radical anion, electron exchanges in solution. Keywords
