Calculation of Induced Radioactivity in Electron Sterilized Food

Abstract
The basis for a tractable equation to predict the amount of radioactivity induced in food from high energy electron sterilization is shown. This equation yields results which are in agreement with previous experimental results. Also, it appears that by using this plastic packaging the threshold of detectable induced activity may be raised to as high as 17 or 18 MeV.
