Abstract
High-resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectra for Fe(100) are reported which identify and characterize surface states near the Fermi energy extending from to of the two-dimensional Brillouin zone. These results provide an experimental test of recent transition-metal surface electronic structure calculations and yield predictions relevant to spin-polarized photoemission from Fe(100).
