Abstract
Sodium chloride solutions up to 2 molal and temperatures to 330 degrees C are examined for the solubility of CO 2 . The salting-out effect on CO 2 solution attains a minimum at 150 degrees C and increases at higher temperatures. Revised values for carbon dioxide solubilities in water are presented. The thermodynamic properties for the solution process, as well as the densities of the sodium chloride solutions, have been determined.
