Abstract
A theoretical explanation of the minimum observed in the cyclotron resonance (CR) linewidth as a function of magnetic field is presented by including electron scattering via acoustic phonons and ionized impurities. Quantum-limit CR linewidth broadens for phonon scattering while it narrows for ionized-impurity scattering with the increasing magnetic field. The minimum arises due to the competition between the two scattering mechanisms. Keywords
