Abstract
Seedlings were grown under aseptic conditions on agar made up in dist. water and in Knop''s solution at 5 const. temps. between 15[degree] and 35[degree]C. Growth curves were sigmoid but showed differences in symmetry. The effects of Knop''s solution were (1) to increase the growth in height of hypocotyls, more at the temp. extremes than in the opt. temp. (30[degree]C), but (2) to shorten the duration of life, and (3) to decrease root growth. The opt. temp. for roots was 15[degree] or 20[degree].This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
