Decay ofGa66

Abstract
Scintillation equipment consisting of a three-crystal pair spectrometer, two-crystal Compton spectrometer, and single NaI(Tl) and anthracene crystals used in coincidence have been used to investigate the decay of Ga66. Gamma-rays of 4.83 (2), 4.33 (4.5), 4.12 (1.5), 3.78 (2), 3.41 (3), 3.24 (2), 2.75 (22), 2.40 (2), 2.18 (6), 1.93 (3.5), 1.58 (<0.4), 1.37 (3), 1.04 (30), and 0.83 (1) Mev energy have been observed. (Intensities, given parentheses, indicate percent of Ga66 decay.) These are fitted into a consistent decay scheme in which Ga66 decays to levels in Zn66 at 4.83 (2), 4.33 (8), 4.12 (1.5), 3.78 (21), 3.41 (4), 3.24 (10), 2.75 (2), 2.40 (∼0.5), 1.04 (<0.5) and 0 (56) Mev. (Branching intensities, given in parentheses, indicate percentages.) The beta- and gamma-ray branchings have been used to assign possible spins and parities to the states involved.
