Abstract
Part One of the book argued, by implication, for the unity of reason. This conclusion is reinforced by the argument of this chapter for the unity of reasoning, that is that so-called practical reasoning is ordinary reasoning about practical matters. In defending this conclusion the chapter criticizes claims that practical reasoning is distinguished by special premises, conclusions, or rules of inference. Keywords
