Abstract
An optical sampling oscilloscope, based simply on a dual wavelength, stroboscopic switching operation, in a nonlinear loop mirror has been used to directly measure, with picosecond resolution, the pulses generated from a gain switched semiconductor laser. The detected pulses were directly compared to those obtained with an electronically driven, optical sampling oscilloscope. Keywords
