Abstract
Consideration is given to the possibility of applying fuzzy algorithms in a microprocessor-based servomotor controller, which requires faster and more accurate response compared with other industrial processes. The performance of proportional-integral-derivative control, model reference adaptive control, and fuzzy controllers is compared in terms of steady-state error, settling time, and response time. Limitations of fuzzy control algorithms are described. Keywords
