Abstract
Optically active molecules will show differential absorption, as between opposite handedness of the radiation, for two‐photon absorption. A theoretical estimate is made of the expected ratio of the differential rate to the total rate and an order of magnitude of this ratio for a simple helical model is found. Keywords
