Interpretation of infrared modulation spectroscopy data in graphite by the Slonczewski-Weiss- McClure band model

Abstract
Recently published thermoreflectance data for graphite in the photon energy range 0.6<ω<1.0 eV are shown to be consistent with the Slonczewski-Weiss-McClure band model using commonly accepted values for the band parameters of this model. These data show γ5 to be positive and provide the first direct experimental determination of this parameter, yielding a value of γ5=0.025 eV.
