Abstract
Presentation of Case First admission. A thirty-eight-year-old Negro woman was referred to the hospital because of intracranial bleeding.She had been in good health until several weeks previously, when ankle edema developed late in the course of her third pregnancy. One week before admission she entered another hospital in labor, and peripheral edema, proteinuria and a blood pressure of 190 systolic, 100 diastolic, were found.
