Polychlorinated Dibenzo‐p‐dioxins (PCDDs) and Dibenzofurans (PCDFs) in the hair of people living on municipal refuse dumping sites in Cairo (Egypt)

Abstract
Relatively high levels of PCDDs and PCDFs have been discovered in hair samples taken from people scavenging for recyclable waste from Cairo's municipal waste dumping sites. The PCDD/PCDF isomer pattern observed in GC/MS‐SIM fragmentograms of hair extracts was almost identical to that observed in emissions from municipal waste incinerators.
