Abstract
The use of metaphors within family therapy to provide insight and suggestions to the family in an indirect manner is described. Content for the metaphor can be varied depending on the family's interests and needs. Also, a model to determine the dynamics of individual change is presented that can provide a strategy to create suggestions to facilitate future changes. Five examples are presented to demonstrate the use of connectors and the presentation of insights and suggestions.
