Abstract
In maize, small pollen grains are less than 1% functional in competition with normal pollen. In crosses of small pollen with sweet stocks, Conn. 81 and Purdue 39, instead of the expected 6% sweet seeds, there were 17 and 39%, respectively. No satisfactory explanation is available. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
