Abstract
From the fungus Corticum salicinum. A crystalline pigment, cortisalin has been isolated, although probably not pure. Despite unsatisfactory analytical data the pigment is believed to be 15-(p-hydroxyphenyl)-pentadeca-2,4,6,8,10,12,14-heptenoic acid. For an unexplained reason diazomethane did not etherify the phenolic hydroxyl group. The structural relation to corticrocin is pointed out. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
