Abstract
Precession measurements of gyromagnetic ratios have been carried out for the states in even tungsten isotopes. The nuclei were excited by Coulomb excitation with a neutral atomic-hydrogen beam and the time-integrated rotation of the angular distribution of the de-excitation gamma rays in an applied magnetic field was measured. The targets were in metal form and the angular distributions were found to be almost unperturbed. The measured gyromagnetic ratios are: , , and . The values obtained for and are in disagreement with some previous measurements.
