Abstract
The performance of 24 real fluorescent lamps is evaluated. Many of the lamps comprise one or more of the narrow-band emissions near 450, 540, 610 nm. These colors, when incorporated into a lamp SPD, are shown to lead to extraordinary improvement in CRI and luminance taken together, in color discrimination capability, and in preferred rendering of object colors. Keywords
