Abstract
The E.N.T. [ear, nose and throat] surgeon may be confronted with various presentations of leprosy, which takes 3 main forms. Current patterns of migration indicate that the disease may be encountered in any country. Early diagnosis is of great importance to the patient and, with lepromatous leprosy, to the community to prevent dissemination of Mycobacterium leprae, the causative organism. The classification, clinical presentation and means of confirming the diagnosis are discussed. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
