Abstract
Six years of investigations, evaluations and reporting of wind-storm damage events have provided engineers with their own perspective of the tornado. This perspective is presented in a manner which is intended to enhance both the engineer's and meteorologist's understandings of the phenomenon. In addition, the presentation of an engineering-oriented perspective of the tornado serves to establish and demonstrate the feasibility of designing buildings and facilities against tornadoes. Keywords
