Abstract
The activation energies Q for the decomposition of A1 + 3.6 at. % Fe and A1 + 3.6 at. % Ni supersaturated solid solutions were calculated and the values obtained are (1.83 ± 0.18) and (1.46 ± 0.16) eV, respectively. With the aid of these results the activation energies E D for the volume diffusion of Fe and Ni solutes in aluminium were evaluated and compared with the results for E D, known from the literature. Keywords
