Abstract
Presentation of Case First admission. A 68-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of inability to walk.There was a long history of Paget's disease of bone. Four years before admission urinary retention developed and led to the findings of a urethral stricture and benign prostatic hypertrophy. A urethrotomy was performed. An x-ray film of the chest showed a smooth, elongated paravertebral density parallel to the right cardiac border, interpreted as extraosseous Paget's disease.
