The results of the author's recent studies on the growth of the spectrum of wind-generated waves have been used for determining a simple form of fetch- limited wave spectrum which can be used for practical purposes. The determined form of the fetch-limited wave spectrum corresponds almost exactly to a simplified form of Bretschneider spectrum through dimensionless fetch relations, and it approaches to Pierson-Moskowitz spectrum at about gF/u*2= 107 where g is the acceleration of gravity, F the fetch and u* the friction velocity of the wind.
