The JHK colours for the Fornax globular clusters 3, 4 and 5 through 12, 18 and 30 arcsec apertures and cluster 2 through an 18 arcsec aperture are presented. The infrared colours through these apertures are con sistent with published optical photometry and metal abundance determinactions. Cluster 4, and to a lesser extent clusters 3 and 5, become redder in J – H with increasing aperture size. This is best explained by an excess of one or more late K giants to the outer portions of the clusters. A systematic difference in the H – K colour between our photometry and the photometry of others for extended objects through large apertures is discussed.
