Abstract
Rhabdogloeum hypophyllum, parasitic on needles of Pseudotsuga taxifolia, resembles somewhat another imperfect fungus of the same genus, R. pseudotsugae, also growing on Douglas fir needles. Observations strongly suggest that the new species, rather than the latter, is a stage in the life history of Rhabdocline pseudotsugae. Keywords
