Abstract
Because the intricacy of language suggests that it both creates and reflects women's roles in society, reciprocal accommodation may be the best way for women to achieve influential positions in management. Reciprocal accommodation is a collaborative process whereby women practice empowering communication strategies while those al ready in positions of authority actively acknowledge women's right to those strategies and the power they represent. Keywords
