Abstract
A minicomputer system was developed to assist in the transcription, distribution and long-term storage of [human] radiology reports. Reports are dictated in the traditional manner by a radiologist and then entered into specially programmed computer terminals by a transcriptionist. Completed reports are electronically distributed throughout the department and the hospital. Inactive reports are stored by the computer on microfiche. At 1 institution the system produces all of the radiology department reports, a total of .apprx. 200,000 reports/yr.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
