Abstract
A method of using impregnated sleeves was developed as an intermediate step between laboratory and field evaluations of acaricides as clothing treatment for protection against chigger mites (Trombiculidae). By this method, more tests per man can be carried out, as well as paired tests on each individual. Much less material is required, making possible the testing of new compounds of which limited quantities are available. Data are given from tests with several compounds that had shown protection value in previous tests in impregnated uniforms. The results with the 2 methods were very similar. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
