(t, p)QValues for Th, U, and Pu Isotopes

Abstract
A semiconductor-detector system has been used to measure ground-state Q values for the (t, p) reaction on targets of Pu239, Pu240, Pu242, U235, U236, U238, and Th232. Absolute Q values are determined to an accuracy of ±20 keV, from a calibration based on known Q values, for states excited in the reactions O16(t, p)O18 and C12(t, p)C14. The measured Q values are in good agreement with recent mass tables by Wapstra, Kurzeck, and Anisinoff.
