Abstract
The Clenshaw—Curtis method for numerical integration can be implemented with either repeated doubling of the order of the formula or successive refinement of the basic interval of integration. A practical criterion is recommended for choosing between these alternatives at any stage, based on the rate of decrease of the Chebyshev co-efficients of the integrand. Keywords
