Abstract
Heat sterilization of dilute solutions of volatile organic compounds in culture tubes with Teflon-lined caps compares favorably with sterilization in sealed glass ampoules (SGA). Solutions of acetaldehyde, acetone, ethyl acetate and ethanol at concentrations of 10 to 10,000 ppm were autoclaved in culture tubes and SGA. Recoveries after sterilization were in excess of 90% in all cases. Comparable decreases in concentration were observed for SGA.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
