Abstract
An unconventional time-dependent perturbation theory recently developed is here applied to the general treatment of decay processes. The comparison between the results obtained by this method and some non-perturbative solutions, known for simple decaying systems, shows its validity and suggests its successful extension to the relaxation of more complicated systems. Keywords
