Abstract
A 2-yr. study was made of the % content of pectin, hemicelluloses, and lignin in Kentucky blue grass (Poa pratensis) and red clover (Trifolium pratense) taken at successive stages of growth. with special reference to the formation of lignin. No direct evidence was obtained for a relationship between these substances. The different proportions of these compounds may be attributed to a difference in cell structure. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
