Abstract
The use of a transmission electron microscope to reveal rigid body translations between one grain and its neighbour at a coincidence boundary is explained. Experimental results are presented concerning the translations present on various boundary planes of a faceted annealing twin in high purity aluminium. Micrographs are presented which demonstrate that boundary facet configurations can change under the influence of deformationKeywords
