Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia and Myasthenia Gravis Associated with Thymoma

Abstract
NEOPLASMS of the thymus are associated with a wide spectrum of diseases, including myasthenia gravis,1 idiopathic acquired agammaglobulinemia,2 primary aregenerative anemia,3 Cushing's syndrome4 and systemic lupus erythematosus.5 In addition, there are 2 case reports of autoimmune hemolytic anemia and thymoma.6 , 7 The following case is the unique occurrence of both autoimmune hemolytic anemia and myasthenia gravis in a patient with a thymoma.Case ReportJ.B. 179545, a 62-year-old Armenian man, was admitted to St. Vincent's Hospital on February 14, 1964, complaining of weakness, double vision and slurred speech of 1 month's duration.
