Abstract
This is the first report of the presence of organisms of Prototheca sp. in the tissue of cattle. Three cases are reported, and in each the organisms histologically resembled Prototheca segbwena. They provoked an extensive granulomatous lymphadenitis characterized by large accumulations of epithelioid cells. In 1 case, the organism caused multiple foci of proliferative peritonitis characterized by marked proliferation of mesothelial cells. Keywords
