Abstract
Digestion trials were conducted with steers to compare the digestibility of a ration containing distillers dark grains from malt fermentation with one containing distillers dark grains from fungal amylase fermentation. The rations fed were identical except for the difference in source of dark grains. No significant difference was found in the apparent digestibility of these rations, thus indicating that the two processes of fermentation do not differ significantly in their effects upon the digestibility of distillers dark grains.
