Abstract
Injn. of cortisone in the nephrectomized dog increases the serum Ca to toxic levels despite the concomitant rise in serum inorganic phosphate and magnesium. On cessation of therapy the serum Ca level declines again to normal levels. The importance of these findings in the treatment of patients manifesting renal insufficiency is emphasized. Keywords
