Abstract
The vorticity equation, the curl of the Navier-Stokes equation, is considered in ellipsoidal coordinates. The steady spheroidal vortex solutions are demonstrated as examples of a class of exact flow solutions characterized by a simple linear vorticity distribution.Keywords
