Abstract
Extensive collections of Australian Anomaloninae have been studied and the 17 described species considered valid are redescribed. Six new species are described and two new synonymies proposed. A neotype is erected to stabilize the usage of the name Anomalon coarctatum Brulle. Lectotypes are designated for three species. Variation is discussed briefly and notes on recorded hosts included. Characters to differentiate the Anomaloninae from other subfamilies of Ichneumonidae are given. Keywords
