Abstract
The waterways associated with Lagos Harbour and Lagos Lagoon and the water movements in them are described. The salinity changes in the harbour and lagoon for the years 1953-55 have been measured and correlated with the rainfall of the area draining into the lagoon. The temperatures of the waters in the harbour and lagoon are compared with those of the sea. Sand temperatures in the intertidal zone have been measured at the surface of the beach and at depths down to 7${\textstyle\frac{1}{2}}$ in. A survey of the lagoon, harbour and marine deposits in the Lagos area has been made. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
