Abstract
The complex angular momentum technique is applied to the study of nucleon-nucleus elastic scattering. Regge-type representations are developed for the scattering amplitude, taking the spin of the incident nucleon into account. The pole parameters are determined using the optical-potential parameters as input. With these pole parameters, the differential cross sections for elastic nucleon-nucleus scattering are calculated using an appropriate Regge-type representation for the partial-wave amplitudes. These studies give insight into the applicability of complex angular momentum methods to the optical model of elastic scattering of nucleons from nuclei. Keywords
