Abstract
Electrical stimulation of the ventromedial nucleus of the hypothalamus caused hungry rats to stop eating. However, control tests showed such stimulation to be potentially noxious and capable of stopping drinking in thirsty rats. Thus the stopping of eating caused by this stimulation may not have been indicative of a primary effect on hunger. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
