Abstract
A chemical quantitative analysis of the acid-soluble and acid-insoluble fractions of myocardial glycogen following an episode of acute infarction is presented. Both glycogen forms are depleted from the more seriously occluded area. The labile fraction similarly is decreased in the ischemic zone surrounding the infarct while the acid-insoluble moiety maintains a normal level. Keywords
