Atrophic Rickets: A Pattern to be Reckoned in Tropical Countries

Abstract
Atrophic rickets is a rare form of rickets encountered in tropical countries characterized by its severity, association with malnutrition and absence of suggestive radiological findings such as cupping and spreading of metaphyseal ends of long bones which are also not deeply frayed. The relevant literature has been reviewed and pathological mechanisms discussed.
