Abstract
The time course of recovery of Paramecium aurella from lethal X-irradiation was investigated. Recovery shows rapid but transient and followed at about 3 to 4 hours postirradiation by some return to sensitivity, then a recovery to approximately the unirradiated condition ensues. Oscillation of Paramecium aurelia recovery is not the result of the combined effects of synchronization and the normal variation of radiation sensitivity during the growth cycle. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
